I orderd 5 on the 14th and they where shipped on the 15th (Keynote Day).

Looking at apple.com in my invoice it says Serials:
8X7516XXXXX
8X7517XXXxX

This means Week51 !! So i think i am save ... i will tell you asap - they will arrieve on Monday!

MY Hint: Look up your online Invoice!! -> apple.com / account / orders / print invoice

I went to 3 Apple Stores today and couldn't find week 51. Only 52 but I didn't dare to buy... Does someone has already confirm that week 52 iPhones are 1.1.2?

Hello everybody!

As i wrote above i orderd 5 Iphones on the 14th and they will arrive tomorrow (21th January).

But i also orderd 5 - 3 Weeks ago!
They all had the Serials:
8X752XXXXXX

So week 52 and - they were 1.1.2 OOTB - i arleady sold everyone of these!!

This means week 52 is definitly 1.1.2, but as you know apple startet some weeks after 1.1.2 release to even update iphones from stores (at apple 5th ave nyc etc.). !

So in my personal opinion you are still save, if you buy in a store like in new york etc. - but i think that apple.com-store (Online) will switch to 1.1.3 OOTB soon!

Just an update for whoever is thinking of ordering online. I ordered mine on friday (18th) my invoice says 8x7512xxxxx

I guess i got lucky with a week 51 if peoplere getting 52 already :D

there is no difference between 51 and 52 so doesn't really matter ;) got 2 week 52's in the Bellavue applestore in seatlle yesterday

So everybody here is my update!

As suggested my on the 15th shipped Iphones came with 1.1.2 ootb !

This means week 51 and as already reported 52 are 1.1.2 ootb. But i think if the the stock (pre production) is cleared, there will be only 1.1.3 ootb.

So i wouldn´t advise you to order iphones on apple.com at this point - because this could me you will get good ipod-Touch as the new abseband 4.03.13G doesn´t work with Nextsims etc.

My tip/advise: Use the apple stores in us cities to buy your 1.1.2 !

no not online, my friend bought it from apple store last saturday.. should i tell her to open the box and check out the version? but if she opens the box will she be able to give it back with a 10% cut down from the price? she will be back 1 week later.

First, you might not be able to buy five phones at their online store in one go... You can try though... Do you know that you have to have a US credit card to buy online? .. Yes, you stand a good chance of getting 1.1.3s now. And like I said there should be no restocking fees if they go back sealed... However, if this is done in person, they might be curious as to why you're returning 5 sealed boxes...

one little piece of advice for sayginho, don't post the full serial, it's an easy way to get identified as the serial is linked to the person who bought it.

So, to answer to neynme, go to the Apple Store page and check the invoice, there you'll find the Serial of your phone, which is tightly linked to your order, name, address and Credit Card Info.

I was just curious while were on the topic...

i just recieved a new (probably refurbished) iphone from an apple store as i got water on mine and it wouldnt charge anymore...

anyways my new one is 1.1.3 :( and 4.3.13g :( so i will be apart of the waiting for sdk crowd with a boring phone... and the serial number starts with 5 K 8 0 3 6. All the ones in this post start with an "8" and dont have a "K" in them, why is mine so special? it also seems heavier.. (older?)

what week would this be classified under? is this a really old phone or a really new one?
