[Headset] original or not?

Is there anyways to find out whether the headset is original or not? becos i purchased an iphone whose box is not sealed... i suspect if the shopkeeper gave me the original headset... Can any one please tel me how to identify a genuine handsfree that came with the box? thank you..

Plug them in and see if you hear anything. Only genuine ones will work.

well,, my friend who got iphone from the same shop received a duplicate headset.. the shop guy revealed that its a duplicate headset...When i compared the duplicate one witht he original headset i found that there is no difference between 'em...
