Phone loses reception while in sleep mode

I have a Jailbroken/unlocked 1.1.2 OTB iphone running on a rogers network. Phone works perfect except that 75% of the time its in sleep mode, it completely loses reception, preventing me from receiving calls. I know this is somewhat common issue but I cant find a fix. Anyone have a solution?
