Hi
Im just wondering if there is a way for me to transfer videos to my iPhone without iTunes. Im currently using Winamp + a plugin for transfering the music, but it seems its not compatible with transfering videos.
As far as I know, one cannot just drag&drop the file into a dir, or am I wrong? Cause Ive always thought that the library must be updated, and that doesnt happen when drag&dropping.
But IF there is a way for me to just drag&drop the video files (ofc converted into iPhone format), could one of you wonderful guys tell me? *angeleyes*

Thanks for the welcome
You see, I have searched and yet found nothing. Even though you linked me to a program that makes one able to transfer files between the computer and the iPhone, it doesnt say anything about where to put the video files. Thanks for answering, but I already got a program for transfering.
My problem is I dont know where to put the video files so they appear in the Video-section on the iPhone.
Anyway, TotalCommander is a better option than MNPlight, because of the USB-transfer. My experience is that its a lot faster transfering via USB than WiFi

Videos in ipod has particular format and I don't think you can transfer videos in anywhere for them to appear in ipod but if you want to open videos with third party apps or safari you can transfer your videos to which ever directory that application can open from. I transfter some of my videos to a directory to open manually with safari.

Searching is by nature a difficult thing to do. :D
The video files are stored at the very same place as the music files.
/private/var/root/Media/iTunes_Control/Music/FXX/
But if you put them there, it wont work. Simply because you need a program to access and update/modify the iTunes Library's database.
You can still play your video with MNPLight (file browsing and selecting the video file will start the video player).

Hey Xian - Where can i find the iTunes library database?
I'm actually surprise there isn't a tool to just 'add' any m4a file to the db. Especially for videos, instead of using itunes to do it.
