This is a repeat thread that I wrote a couple of month’s back which I felt important enough to re-open since it’ll give you all something else to think about before 1.1.3 hits later this week.
I don’t know if any of you have asked yourselves the question or spend any time trying to figure out why, but has anyone tried to understand why the iPhone just suddenly “wakes up” on its own sometimes?
This phenomena occurs haphazardly (or so it seems) and has no relationship at all with whether SSH, Wifi, Edge are activated. Haven’t tried disabling the commcenter and seeing if that makes a difference, but I suppose that it won’t.
Anyone have any insight here, or should I just ask a Priest to exercise my iPhone?

This never happens to me... Not that I've noticed anyways.

It's actually really cool -- you're lying in bed with your phone on the table next to you and suddenly your phone just "lights" up and then goes back to sleep.
I know that others here have experienced the same thing as per my first thread. This said, I can't figure out why the phone does this or what purpose it serves.

Not with my phone, but with my iPod if I leave the headphones plugged in overnight, sometimes it will start playing music. It happened with my old iPod Mini, but not my new iPod... It was really wierd, it happened a couple of times.

It just happened to me now! Lol. I think it happened to me becuase I was charing it on its dock, and when the charging was complete, it lit up briefly. Maybe that's why. And DJ McG, you got your phone back dude? Cuz I think it was you who said it was stolen if im not mistaken? What happened? How'd you do it?
