Hi,
i'm looking for a app, which can download youtube video's, then convert it into the "iphone format" and finally add it to my video library.
A Iphone port of "wget" and "ffmpeg" would be great to realize this, right? A "terminal solution" would be okay.
Is there any solution availible?
Greetings from Germany,
chris
p.s
Sorry for my bad englisch.

If you have a mac you can open video webpage in safari and go to Window-Activity and just double click the video file (its usually the biggest file)
Then just drop the file in Isquint (a beautiful .mp4 converter)
It converts literally anything and make it into iphone compatible
Hope that helps

Thanks for the answer.
But i'm using linux (dualboot with windows), thats why i'm looking for such a possibility.
I don't want to boot windows just for adding a video.
Also when i'm not at home i wanna be able to download and watch some clips. (Without the youtube app)

You can download the movie file in mp4 format by going to MxTube.

Yea i know how to do this at home / at my pc.
I'm looking for a possibilty when i'm not at my pc. :D
With some ported utilities from Erica Sadun, i have ffmpeg and wget in /var/root/bin.
Now i need a script for _zsh_ which can handle this...
