How to do manual settings for Wifi? (NO DHCP)

Is it possible to configure a wifi connection manually, and not have the IP addressed auto-assigned by DHCP on the iphone?

Go to Settings > network > click on the blue arrow of the wifi network you are connected to, then select "Static" and enter your manual settings.

You have to make sure that you set this up on your router as well , otherwise the address might allready be in use by another device.
