Hey all,

I know i just posted a question about a 1.1.1 phone, this one is my wifes. it was a 1.0.0 OOTB which was upgraded to 1.0.2 jailbreaked with ibrickr and anySIM (original)

So the issue that she is having is livable i suppose but we would like to fix it, in case it is a larger issue that will become worse.
The issue is that sometimes the touchscreen stops responding only on the springboard. it will be working in an app and then when she goes back to the springboard the touchscreen stops responding.

However, very strangely it will respond just fin after puting into standby and then unlocking again (with swipe bar - what else do you call that)

This phone has never had summerboard installed and only has had two games installed after unlocking.

Thanks for the help everyone :)
David

my phone stops responding to the slide to unlock slider when its ringing.
also sometimes when i slide to unlock the screen turns black and it very slow to load the board icons.

do you have a ton of email on your phone?
i have 2 accounts with 2500+ email per account.. maybe this is it.

I had mine freeze on an incoming call once which sent me scurrying for solution... On another forum someone claimed the ambilight sensor had something to do with it... Have no idea why though... Anyway, his solution was turning off "Auto-brightness" in Settings -> Brightness. I did it and it stopped freezing the slider when a call comes in... In about two months down the road with no single freezing whatsoever, I turned auto-brightness back to ON with no freezes so far (knock wood).. Dunno, if my freeze wasn't an ocassional glitch but disabling auto-brightess solved it for me... Might have been something else though.. Try it and see if it works for you...

Thanks for the suggestions.
her phone doesn't have any emails (but does have some SMS msgs)
I will look into the autobrightness issue, and also see if it may be due to the case the phone is in..

I think i mae a mistake in describing the fix that got the screen woring again.
What I actualy had to do was power the phone off completely and then turn it back on again.
Then the touchscreen would respond again in the springboard.
