First of all can i say that this forum is very helpful and a great place to discuss certain topics. Some very intelligent and helpful people. I also think it is well organised and moderated (correct word...??), so credit to all those involved.

But, i would like to see Hackintosh expand its horizons slightly to make it an all round Apple forum. I think it should expand its topics into general Apple products such as iMacs, Macbooks and PowerMacs etc, possibly a section devoted to Windows to Apple migration or vice versa and general Apple software discussions such as iTunes, iWork etc. There are sections where discussions like these can be made but i think the forum should dedicate new topic sections to accomodate these.

If any change is made in the direction i have outlined i think the forum will grow in popularity. I do understand that costs such as server rental have a large impact on moves like this. Well, the ball's in your court now. Let us know what you think.

Best Regards,

JungleJim.

Come on... a reply would be nice. Yes or no would even do it. Thanks.

No news means good news.
All the suggestions are considered. ;)

I, myself, think that moving this way will ask more implication in our daily tasks on the board.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.

Fair enough. It's certainly a valid point. There are not really any other forums around that accomodate what i mentioned, well, not forums that i would consider well organised or well designed! But by opening a few more sections here would be satisfactory, but without too much additional resources required, in my view.

Well, hopefully you will consider what i have said and maybe we'll see it in the near future. I have made my point so i will leave it up to you guys and will not bother you on subject any longer.

Cheers.

I hates it become so high-profile like this. I hate the feeling if hackint0sh would become insanelysh0ck.... so please keep it tidy and hacky as we love it now.

We are already more or less all aroudn apple, but our origin is in the osx86 scene. If you have any suggestions regarding new subforums, let me know. I could i.e. see a hope for having these new forums somehere in the hardware corner? Let me know more about your ideas :)

Well, Sam,

There's been a few occasions when i've wanted to discuss certain topics, but this forum doesn't really provide an area to bring these up, but if these sections existed, this forum would be my first port of call.

For example:

1) I'm currently a Windows user but have been thinking of migrating to the Mac arena and it would of been nice to research this here, under a section like 'Windows or Mac Migration'.

2) I've wanted to discuss a possible release of iTunes on a x64 environment (especially iPhone compatibility) = 'Apple Software / iTunes'

There are others but do not come to mind at the moment...
There are plenty of sites that have an abundance of information on these subjects but its nice to come to one place for 'all your Apple needs' (bar official Apple forums.... rubbish!). Also, as i have said, i like the way this site is set up and managed (the vBulletin engine is a very good system too!)

Thanks for your attention.

I was thinking about a rumor section...

would help with some of the clean-up XianLi and I seem to do...
