[Advice] Old iPhone Box = Older BootLoader???

So I was at the Apple store and I saw some brand new 8gb iPhones with the old box you know the one that doesnt have the itunes icon on it...does that mean it will have an older BL like a 3.9??:D

Serial number will *NOT* be 100% accurate.
Many pre-week 45 1.1.2 OTB w/ 4.6bl iPhones out there.

IMEI is a better indicator now.

some of week 30 up also comes with new boot loader. so it won't be accurate any more.

i bought an 8gb with an old box, i actually fought the apple store guy for it, he was accusing me of wanting to hack it, i played dumb, so i won.
this was about two months ago, but still, the firmware was 1.1.2
