Unfortunately they do not have DVD-to-iPhone option so you can't convert movie DVD for free. Or I missed smth?

Okay, a shameless plug I know, but you can probably find a lot of good information in my recent article over on iLounge, The Complete Guide to iPod Video Conversion (Windows) (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/the-complete-guide-to-ipod-video-conversion-win/) (you can also find a Mac version here (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/the-complete-guide-to-ipod-video-conversion-mac/)).
Handbrake will do the job very well on Windows, but you can't rip protected DVDs, so you'll have to add a third-party utility to extract the content first. DVD43 works quite well for this purpose, as it really just runs in the background and strips the DVD CSS on-the-fly, making Handbrake (or just about any other high-level software) think that it's dealing with an unprotected DVD.
On the Mac, Handbrake will extract protected DVDs, so you really need nothing else.
Note that there's nothing special of magical about "iPhone" conversion software other than the pre-sets that they may include. Any one of the tools that have been converting videos for the 5G iPod since last fall will be more than adequate for the iPhone, as it plays the exact same video formats. You can save space by encoding in 480x320 instead of 640x480 if you're only going to watch it on the iPhone, but most software will allow you to specify the output resolution manually.

Beyond belief.
Spend 600+ bucks on a phone, but some people can't bare to pay an average of 30 bucks for some software.?
Try googling for Cucusoft, Jesterware, Xilisoft, IMToo etc.
Make your own decision whats best and NO, they all cost $$$

I use a program called SuperC and just convert the video to the ipod 5.5 version and it works great.

Two programs (for OS X)
iSquint
HandBrake
Both free. iSquint for regular movies. HandBrake for DVDs.

i've converted movie (Enchanted.Xelespont.avi) from Bittorent using Super. After conversion, i transfered it to iTunes. Full movie but it only plays just the first part (04 mins. i think). What's the problem there? the movie or the converter/conversion?
Thanks!
