[Request] iDj Software

As a Dj, I would love to have something on my Iphone to practice remix in the bus, train, when waiting friend in the car or even in a party...

I have used the search button but didn't find nothing, If this already exist can you please give me the link...

I would like to have the function like
pitch
bpm
crossfade
base and trebble cut
scratch (thanks multi-touch)

the song would be from the ipod library (is this possible)

I know a bit in software coding but im a noob when it come to make a software for Iphone...

If someone think this is doable and want to help me, add me on msn (weezo1@hotmail.com) and we will talk about that...


EDIT : THANKS TO REASON TO HAVE DESIGNED THIS INTERFACE... (This is just an Interface, There is no code behing it..., I need your help for that part !!!!!)

cool idea I was just thinking of the same today, the touch screen would be perfect for some scratching action..... but you would need the the iphone to play two tracks at the same time..... but if someone could pull it of, it be awesome

That's my main problem but it shoudn't be to hard to find... or maybe they can merge the two file in one in real time (not shure if the cpu is powerfull enouf for that) and then play it like one...

I don't think this is possible in a situation like this, because when you change the tempo or anything else the iPhone would have to create a whole new file??

yeah you would need a temporary buffer..... like +/- 20 sec or so.... not easy... but well if you look at the stuff people came up.... not impossible.... got the potential of a killer app.... maybe apple wants in to the project.... be great for marketing ;=)))))

Well that would be funny. DJs standing in the middle of the dancefloor, mixing on their iPhones and streaming it to the PA via wlan.

I'd think a DJ Player for the iphone would be the first step.... think ipod + tempo control, with cueing abilities... then DJs can take 2 ipod touch/iphones without any of their own collection or even 1 with them (when playing alongside someone or with someones collecion), and still beatmix...

I have a dj friend and even when he doesnt have his CDs he's got his iphone with a bunch of tunes.... it is often a pain for him or any DJ to "play a little" at a gathering or something without his/her cds... so this would be pretty cool....

the 2 ipod things already exist, Numark make a mixer whit 2 dock connector on it so you can take 2 ipod and mix whit them...

afaik the numark thing doesnt have any pitch/tempo nor does it have any cueing abilities... from what i know its the same practically as hooking up 2 ipods to a regular mixer... kinda lame if ya ask me.... ipod useless accessory frenzy....

That's awesom (the interface), but you forgot to add the play, pause and cue button loll

Skinnable, cueable, pitch/tempo-able, music player would be the first step i think... then once that is done, adding a second stream shouldnt be to difficult assuming the iphone supports 2 simultaneously playing streams (i guess it should be able to? unless the hardware somehow locks into the stream in some form of hardware decoding of audio)
