perian codec problem.. please help..

after installing perian to able see divx throw itunes i found that i cant open my movies and its not working , but , when i connect external hard drive all the files is working and i can open them also throw also throw front row

can anybudy tell me what i am doing wrong ? why the files that placed in my internal drive not working and throw external drive yes ?

any help would be help

Can you please lets know which version of perian you are using and the system version?

Also any error messages that may be displayed.
