Stealthsim - UK Success

Just to quickly update anyone thinking of purchasing, I ordered a Stealthsim from iPhoneHellas http://www.iphonehellas.com/iPhoneHellas/Home.html last Thursday.

The site says they have ran out of supplies in Greece, and will be shipping from the USA. I tracked my order to it's arrival at East Midlands Airport early Saturday morning, and 5 mins after getting home from work yesterday (Monday) I've got a working iPhone on Orange UK. My sim isn't enabled for Edge (crappy work contract) so can't comment on the functionality or speed, however after a full day's operation as a phone I've got nothing other than praise for the machine, and iPhoneHellas for the speedy delivery from the other side of the world.

Envious looks all round from work colleagues today.....!

I cant belive people are buying stealth sim and the like why waste so much money just wait for the new firmware to come out the the unlock for 4.6bootloader will be availible right? and just donate to the dev team for the "free" unlock

my reckoning was "why wait?"

theres a solution out there in stealthsim, and while i hope the genius's crack 1.1.2 soon, I wasn't willing to wait ad infinitum.

in my opinion it offered good value for money (perhaps more so because I didn't pay for the iPhone) and wanted to let folk know that the service provided by iPhoneHellas was excellent......

not quite.

As far as I understand :

- The new firmware will probably make it possible to unlock through the old hardware hack (needles & all) if it contains a baseband update

- The new firmware can make it possible to use a software unlock if it contains a baseband update and if the bootloader exploits found previously are working.

Hi folks, i also got my stealthsim from iphonehellas and my former ibrick 1.1.2 otb is working perfectly with orange spain. It is now more than two months waiting for the software unlock, i could not wait longer either
