as forwarned by this article.... Mac OS X 10.4.7 due soon with improvements to Mail, Safari, iChat AV, more (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1752) ...
---------------------------------------------------------------
i think it would be wise to have on hand the applications that they have said would be "improved" in 10.4.7,
and any others you can think of.
such as.....
Quicktime 7.1 installer
all the current iLife updates
MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.6Intel.dmg
SecUpd2006-003Intel.dmg
and etc.
that way, when it is possible to update, if ones application breaks you will be prepared to repair it,
or access a Framework, or other system file workaround without delay.
Quicktime 7.1 and the current iTunes installer should be downloaded and saved by everyone regardless of whether you are going to do any updating.
if you can think of anything other concerning future breakage, share your ideas.
it's better to be safe than sorry, and you might save many a heap of trouble. :)
