Help! I bought two locked IMEI 004999010640000 phones

Hi!
I hope you are able to help me.
Today I bought 2 phones declared as locked and @ FW 1.0.2.
I recognized that both phones have the 004999010640000 IMEI. I don't know how the owner tried to unlocked them. Furthermore I don't know him personally so I won't be able to ask him.
Both phones show the activation screen. I checked the FW, it's 03.14.08_G.
I'm afraid to try any unlock or activation because I don't know if it could be damaged & bricked. Or is it already a expensive paperweight?!

Do you have any suggestions what to do? If possible please explain it detailed I'm a newbie. My OS: WindowsXP.

You must virginize.
I would advice you tu update it to 1.1.1 and then use the jailbreakme method, go to installer, add the http://i.unlock.no to repositories and go to Unlocking Tools, then Viriginize 4.x and just install that and use it to virginize the phone. Then just restore again to 1.1.1 and use the jailbreakme.com method to activate, jailbreak & unlock :)

If you can update the installer in 1.0.2 FW to 3.0b then you can add the http://i.unlock.no and install the Virginize 3.x, but its a pain in the ass to install Installer because you need ibricker and then find somewhere the installer.app (newest) and upload etcetc :)
