Holy Cow!! I used this guide to move my apps to my media section when i was on 1.1.1. But i removed it using the instructions on the bottom of the page...
http://www.modmyifone.com/wiki/index...edia_Partition
Now, when i go into App, it brings me to the var/root/ROOT_Applications /Applications. I cant find the Applications menu anywhere which holds the native iphone appz.. iBrickr however allows me to go inside Applications and view them. But i cant chmod AnySIM to 0755 using iBrickr. Please help me!
This is the console on WinSCP. I did the commands to remove it.
/$ rm /Applications
rm: cannot remove `/Applications': Is a directory
/$ cp -R /var/root/ROOT_Applications /Applications
cp: cannot stat `/var/root/ROOT_Applications': No such file or directory
/$ rm -rf /var/root/ROOT_Applications

Oh wow. The Application folder is there. I calculated the space. It was close to 10mb occupied. But when I opened it, there is nothing there coz it directs me to var/root/ROOT_Applications /Applications
So I did a small test and copied the application folder to my PC. All the applications were in there. So, I just got to remove the link to var/root/ROOT_Applications /Applications and it should work fine. Anyone knows the command for this?
Use unlink command.
EDIT: Oops, I guess there isn't any in BSD Subsystem.
Let me try something BRB!

Its all right man. What I did was to duplicate the Applications folder and delete the original Applications folder. I went in to the new one and all the programs are in there. So I restarted the iphone. And guess what. Whichever icon i press, it turns to the dark colour and hangs there. Like when you press a icon but the application never boots. So i restored again and it works like a charm. Having a fully unlocked 1.1.2 upgraded from 1.1.1 now. Thanks for trying to help though. Really appreciate it.
When you duplicated the folder, you messed up execute permissions of the applications. You should've duplicated the files on the phone. I guess you just copied the folder to your PC, right? Anyway, 1.1.2 is so much better! :)

I used WinSCP to duplicate it and named it Applications1. Then I deleted Applications and renamed Applications1 as Applications. My instincts told me something is wrong as I had waited for an hour for the answer and it seemed too simple. Anyway, restore fixed it. REALLY LOVE 1.1.2. Easily worth the trouble. Faster, more responsive, louder speakers and in-built 3rd party ringtones? Easily the best iPhone update thus far. Good job Apple! And of course, Kudos to all the unlockers who have been working on 1.1.2 and releasing a unlock solution in such a short time.
