I just unlocked my iphone using anySIM 1.2 u successfully. My phone was updated to 1.1.2 accidentally and I managed to put it back down to 1.02.
Funny thing is, i get the message from anySIM that my phone has been succesfully unlocked. But when I put in a non ATT sim, it tells me "Incorrect SIM. This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM"
Any ideas? I'm on 1.02 (1C28), modem firmware at 04.02.13_G.

You still have the baseband from 1.1.2. You need to follow the instructions for downgrading baseband (using iEraser and bbupdater). Once you have the 1.02 baseband on, upgrade to 1.1.1 and jailbreak, activate and unlock via the well documented methods on here.

Actually, you're not suppose to use iEraser to downgrade to 1.0.2 baseband. If you want an unlocked 1.1.2 phone, you need to have the 04.02.13_G baseband, and the unlock (AnySim 1.2u) only works on 1.0.2, which is why you need to downgrade to 1.0.2 after upgrading to 1.1.2.
The process goes like this:
- Update to 1.1.2 (this gets you the new baseband)
- Restore to 1.1.1
- Restore to 1.0.2
- Jailbreak 1.0.2, install BSD, and OpenSSH.
- SSH AnySim 1.2u onto the phone and run it (make sure to make the folder called /Applications/anySim.app and chmod +x the anySim executable found in that folder)
- restore to 1.1.1, jailbreak and install oktoprep from installer
- update to 1.1.2
That's how i got it working.
