cannot manual restore using itunes 7.4.2

i cant seem to get itunes 7.4.2.4 to sync or recognize my iphone i keep getting an error message "0xE8000025" so i am trying to restore it and hopefully then it will be able to sync. Unfortunatley everytime i try to use the manual restore for 1.1.1 with the hold SHIFT and click Restore, it does not let me choose that file. it justs starts and asks if i want to update to 1.1.2. Please help i have nothing, no contacts, no music, no videos. Heres the history report of my iphone:

unlocked with iunlock for 1.0.2
virginized with unlock.no
updated to 1.1.1
unlock with new anySIM
itunes 7.4.2.4
Windows XP

well, I assume you are using windows, because of the SHIFT and click restore, you can also try to do the same, but instead of SHIFT, try ALT

thanks element. i got it restored but after the normal restore process itunes is saying "you need to quit and download itunes 7.5 to activate this iphone" what should i do now?

I dont have iTunes 7.5, so I am not sure...
your iphone is now in the activation screen, right ? you probably just need to close iTunes and activate+jailbreak your phone
