is it worth it and how to please.

i bought a unlocked 1.0.2 unlocked(not sure how) iphone with modem firmware 03.14.08_G and was wandering if it is worth or even possible upgrading to 1.1.2? if so then how do i do it and is it easy. please.

No in my opinion it's not worth it. I did it, but when I was trying to customise the phone like I used to in 1.1.1 the god damn thing stopped booting. It's not as simple as restoring 1.1.2 and starting over because you need to downgrade to 1.1.1 and then 1.02 and then reflash the baseband in 1.02 so that you'll have a working phone when you try to upgrade again. And once you're at 1.02 you need to first got to 1.1.1 via the independance "prep for 1.02 to 1.11 method). Then once at 1.1.1 you need to oktoprep and then upgrade and once there you need to patch lockdownd. Not worth it to me especially once you're at 1.1.2 apparently the fucking phone can easily get messed up requiring you to do it all over again. The only positive change in 1.1.2 is SMS messages from providers, but it's not worth it in my opinion, maybe in a few weeks when there's some straight forward tools or more experiences by people reporting what does and what doesn't break the phone.

If you have a working phone, do not mess with it.

Learned that today after upgrading a perfectly good 1.1.1 Jailbreak'd/AnySIM'd phone to 1.1.2 and then going through the process to take it back.
