If we jailbreak and activate with iNdependence 1.2.3 and we switch between different sim cards without going through the process again?

i have unlocked two iphones with idependence 1.2.3 and both work with all kind of simcard without a problem. so from my side i dont see the point of modifiing files to let it work, it just works. at least for me, so no guarantee here ;)

You mean you are running unlocked 1.1.1 and you don't have to re-activate everytime you change the sim? For example if I were to travel to Asia and bought a sim, I could just replace the one in the phone and use it straight away without using iAsign to reactivate or add ICCID#.plist files to the lockdown folder?

iNDependence has a patched lockdownd which will let you use ANY simcards without reactivating, hope that makes it clear

I has not! Just have a look to the INDependence Resources folder.... Does it patch the lockdownd during the activation process?

INDependence has worked!!! :D
I can confirm that it will patch the lockdownd.
I just ran it on my previously activated (iAsign with iphuc jailbreak) 1.1.1 iphone and my iphone now works with any sim card.
If you have previously jailbroken your phone with iphuc you have to exchange the Services.plist at System/Library/Lockdown/ with a special one, which is listed at the Google Code Page.
Just have a look at http://code.google.com/p/independence/.
Put a non activated SIM into your phone and activate it.
That's it.
Afterwards it will work with any SIM card, no need to further activation necessary.

There is no file in the resources folder because it simply reads the lockdownd file from your phone into memory, patches it in place, then writes it back again. So no external file is required.
